For those that don’t know, the original release of the calendar on our Cafepress store was short lived. Cafepress decided after only a day to start pulling the images [details].

We’ve set our sights on Lulu.com for our future calendar printing needs. Right now it’s shaping up well and we hope to have a bigger, better product available for you soon.

As some of you may already know, the Women of Comicbook Cosplay 2013 calendar is no longer available via our Cafepress store.
After much cage rattling, Cafepress finally issued this statement on the matter,
“Your use of the strong likeness of various comic book characters is problematic as it may infringe on the rights of the trademark holders.”.
It wasn’t a problem last year but it would seem Cafepress have lost their backbone since then.
I am currently looking at Lulu and Redbubble to publish the calendar instead. Other suggestions are welcome.
I will try and keep everyone updated and hopefully iron this mess out as soon as possible.

CRIME AND PUNISHMENT
For those of you that don’t know, the image of the calendar cover that was uploaded to the WoCC Facebook page [facebook.com/comicbookcosplay] was removed by Facebook. It is assumed that the same person or persons from last time the Venom image was removed were responsible for reporting. I had thought that they had been blocked/banned but alas, they were still able to ruin everyone’s fun.
To be fair, I am myself partially to blame. I didn’t even consider that there would be a problem even though the last time Venom was added to our page it was removed. I was just so damned excited to be able to show everyone some new calendar content that I rushed it on without thinking. When I spoke to Freddie this morning she called me a dumbass. Though it was said in jest, she wasn’t far wrong.
As a result I have have been banned from posting any content on Facebook for 24 hours. This includes my personal account. Therefore the blog content that would normally be pushed onto Facebook will also be delayed. The WoCC Twitter feed [twitter.com/WoCCblog] will obviously remain unaffected. Should you need me, use the blog’s ask box, email or Tweet me. Facebook’s chat still works but it’s rarely switched on these day.
